Strengthening connections in ourselves, between the people we love, & the world through education on the phenomenal power of touch and our incredible bodies' mechanics.
Why Good Touch Is Important
- Children & Parents: Both giving & receiving touch lowers cortisol + increases release of "feel good" hormones when the stressors of child rearing/elder care may make a person say or do something emotionally hurtful
- Friends: Frequent hugs, back rubs, etc. creates closeness that may prevent drifting or even compel communication when a friendship could have been lost
- Couples: Non-sexual/non-sensual affection & massage nurtures a partner's humanity & can make them feel seen/heard instead of transactional
